In many years, I have worked in the field of supporting women in economic development, with programs focusing on poverty reduction, vocational training, job creation and business development.
Vietnam Association for Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE) was founded as a legal entity in October 2014 and I was the Head of the promotion unit for the establishment of the Association.
VAWE is a voluntary socio-professional association representing Vietnamese women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses in Vietnam. The mission and vision of VAWE is: 1) To become the center for connecting and promoting the strengths of women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses from all economic sectors. 2) To be the organization representing women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses in improving business performance and developing the economy in Vietnam. 3) To contribute to the joint development of the business community in Vietnam’s integration to the global economy. 3) To enhance the role of gender specifics for the equality and progress of women in accordance with the guidelines of the Party and the Government of Vietnam.
As the current Vice President and General Secretary of VAWE, I have actively contributed to the activities such as building network of businesswomen, improving capability of businesswomen, supporting trade promotion and legal, policy counselling related to gender equality, women and economy.
