Nukila Evanty, born in Bagan Siapi-Api Riau, Indonesia.
Nukila is graduated from the University of Diponegoro ( Semarang, Central Java) with a Bachelor of Law in 1997 , Law Degrees from University of Groningen, the Netherlands in 2001 and from University of New South Wales-UNSW, Australia in 2007.
She was also the fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar in Austria in 2011, fellow researcher at the Abo Academy of Human Rights , Finland in 2013, research fellow at the Hague Academy of International Law 2014, Diplomacy Training Program (DTP) on Human Rights in East Timor in 2016, International Law Course from International Law Commission , United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017.
She is the alumni of the Advanced International Human Rights Course , Raoul Wallenberg (RWI) Institute in Lund University , Sweden in 2002, received the diploma from the Conflict Resolution Course , Uppsala University , Sweden in 2004.
Nukila is Advisory Boards of Asia Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, Executive Director of RIGHTS Asia in Malaysia, Board of Directors of Association of Women Rights in Development (AWID) in Canada , works as Executive Director of Women Working Group (WWG), as Founder of Women in Mining and Energy (WIME), as visiting lecturer at School of Law, University of Catholic Atmajaya University Jakarta since 2002, lecturer at Post graduate program Faculty of Law, Mahendradatta University, Bali and University of Jember, East Java, Indonesia. She has published many international books and articles at international journals . Her interests is on social justice, human rights, sustainable developments, environmental protection issues.
