Since graduating from University, I have been in charge of positions such as Gender Consultant, Head of the Family and Social Affairs Research Division, Head of the Women’s Movement Research Division, Head of the Science Management Division and Deputy Director of the Institute of Women’s Studies, Vietnam Women's Academy.
My responsibilities are being a principal researcher, designing and organizing scientific research projects, participating in the training activities of the Vietnam Women’s Academy, being in charge of the scientific research method subject, taking part in psychology subject and teaching a number of other related topics for the Women's Union cadres at all levels and students of the Academy.
I am currently a member of the Scientific Council of the Central Vietnam Women's Union, a member of the Scientific and Training Council of the Vietnam Women's Academy, a member of the Ethic Committee of the Hanoi University of Public Health and involved in scientific research, teaching and training in development projects in cooperation with a number of other ministries and universities.
My intensive research topics as follow:
- Migration: theories of migration, real situation of internal and international migration, gender differences in migration, factors affecting women and men’s migration, policies for internal migrated women workers and women working abroad to name a few.
- Women in politics: theories of leadership, management, and administration; situation and factors affecting women's participation in politics and leadership; gender inequality in politics; role of female intellectuals etc.
- Psychological characteristics of women: women's needs, motivations, roles and positions in social fields and barriers to women's development ...
- Family issues: functions of modern families, gender roles and harmony between work and family ...
